The proceeds of the 8th festival in 2007 were

                           € 5095,10

The money was officially handed over to the Foundation Pastoor Vekemans Fonds on 1 December 2007 and again donated to the English Medium School in Dharamjaigarh, district Chhattisgarh, a poor region in India. Now that more and more people understand the importance of learning English in order to provide a better future of their children, the school is rapidly growing. With the money we could help the people in Dharamjaigarh to buy school supplies and furniture, so that the students and teachers do no longer have to sit on the floor. Furthermore, we helped them to install solar panels, which provide the electricity for light, ventilators etc.

Below you will find some photo's of the school and a "thank you" letter of Sister
Philomenia from India.

Sister Philomenia from India

"You just cannot imagine how happy the children are to have solar power in the school. Now they can work with their computer at any time of the day or night. They have no fear of electricity failure. So long they were learning the theory of computer but now they do the practical also. Students enjoy working with the computer. The solar power gives light whole day and night" ....
